Extracting images from a Word file

Pandoc is a great Swiss-army-knife type tool and indispensable if you convert between various document types often. I use it frequently as a first line to take care of the messier, repetitive LaTeX and markdown conversion aspects (quote marks, retaining bold and italics etc.) and occasionally require images to be reinstated. Use the following to extract images to a separate directory,

$ pandoc --extract-media ./media input-file.docx -o tex-file.tex
